Ruvan Wijesooriya is a photographer based in New York City. Before he turned 25 he had started a skateboard company, worked for fashion stylists, and had dozens of pages of freelance music journalism published. All of these things led him to focus on photography. Ruvan is known internationally for his interactive exhibitions and his ability to bridge the gap between art and commerce for a range of clients. His work is featured in the book and exhibition, Meet Me In The Bathroom, where his photographs place the viewer inside of NYC rock'n'roll and nightlife. Ruvan’s work has been published in dozens of magazines including The New Yorker, New York Times, and Vogue. Since Covid-19, Ruvan’s has been documenting the NYC protest groups in NYC. Ruvan has published several books including LCD, Greetings From Sweden and All Night New York.
